So Amanda is making us check out other rss aggregators this week and I have to say I am both intrigued and put out by this. My first impression of Rojo is that it looks slightly more modern than Bloglines. I like how you can edit your subscriptions in the left navigation bar by clicking on the little icon – it is much faster than Bloglines which really lets you feel like you are waiting for a page to load. But why did it sign me up for all the feeds when I clearly left some unselected? Wow, my account is huge. I’ll give it a go for a few more days…
Netvibes hasn’t impressed me much since I’m used to all the same features in Google Homepage. But it is great how the add content feature opens on the left side of the page since in Google it navigates you away to a new page where you select your content. And I wonder how long they’ve had the ‘New tab’ feature since Google only just started doing this a few days ago.
Like you, I was of two minds about our required investigation of new aggregators. Even though I preferred both of them to Bloglines, I think I’m just going to stick with what I know. Right now I just have too many accounts, passwords, and sites to keep track of – and there doesn’t seem to be space in my head for any more new stuff.
Hi Colleen,
I see you revamped your blog. I like the new look
Oops I got confused by Colleen’s comment on your blog.
That complement was directed towards your blog Heather
Umm..that’s “compliment”. Too many silly mistakes!
Okay so first, I agree your new blog face looks great! Second I have now decided I’m completely out of the loop, why you ask? Because I had a terrible time with Rojo and I now have to chalk it up to my lack of expertise with aggregators because everyone seems to like it! I singed up got an accound and had a terrible time adding a feed. The same thing happened to me with the mysteriously signing me up to feeds I clearly turned down. Check out my blog for the full out rant but in the mean time if you can tell me what I’m doing wrong that would be so great! I don’t want to hate Rojo but I don’t find it easy to use if you are a novice with these things!
One more thing I haven’t spent much time on the google tool you talked about but I did really like Netvibes cause it was so easy to use!
